The Maningning Miclat Art Foundation, Inc. was founded
in 2001 to honor the memory of Maningning Miclat (1972 - 2000),
a published author, multilingual poet, prize-winning artist,
an interpreter and a teacher. Read

 Maningning
Miclat was a gifted artist who was accomplished in
both the visual and literary arts.
As a visual artist, Maningning was noted for
her evocative xieyi paintings. She was trained at an
early age in the Si Junzi Hua ("Four Gentlemen
Painting") school. In 1992, she received the grand prize
from the Art Association of the Philippines
for her work, "Trouble in Paradise". Maningning
exhibited her works all over the Philippines as well as in the
Asian cities of Bangkok, Bandar Seri Begawan, Jakarta, Kuala
Lumpur, and Singapore. Read
